Li Zhao
|
Li Zhao, male, native of
Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, was born in
October 1973. He is doctor of higher education,
standing vice-president of Hunan International
Economics University, member of China
Association for Promoting Democracy,
vice-director of Standing Committee of People’s
Congress of Yuelu District, vice-president of
Privately-Run Education Association, deputy
secretary–general of Hunan Branch of China
Higher Education Association of regular private
colleges.
In 1993 he started a business with the board
chairman Zhang Jianbo and acted as the director
of Development Department of Vehicle Driving
Training Center attached to Hunan Public
Security College. In 1995, he became the
director of training center of Hunan Falcon
Industry Co. Ltd. In 1997, he established Hunan
College of Arts and Science in Chenzhou, working
as the first principal. After the college moved
to Changsha renamed Hunan International
Economics University, Li served as the standing
vice-president, in charge of the work in foreign
affairs, finance, school office and
construction.
Li places great importance on studying some
theory and practice related to privately-run
higher education. He has published 6 papers in
academic journals like “higher education study”
these years. The project of “strategic research
on the development of Hunan privately-run higher
education” he presided over has been listed
among the education and science research
projects of “the Eleventh Five-Year Plan”
approved by the Ministry of Education. The
project “the research on the leapfrog
development of private college” he participated
in has won the first-class prize for provincial
teaching achievements. In 2003, he was awarded
the honorary title of “one of the ten
distinguished youth in Changsha” and was elected
model director of Hunan Privately-run Education
Association, standing vice-director of People’s
Congress of Yuelu district, Changsha city. His
great achievements won him high praise from the
Ministry of Education, Hunan Provincial People’s
Government, Hunan Education Department and some
other related departments.
